Half marathon pace chart: split times for every goal
Pick your goal time: you get the pace per kilometer, the speed and your splits at 5, 10, 15 and 20 km. Full chart from 1:30 to 2:30.
Formulas
pace (s/km) = time (s) ÷ distance (km)
speed (km/h) = 3600 ÷ pace (s/km)
split time = pace × distance covered Split times assume an even pace from start to finish. On a real course, hills, wind and fatigue shift the splits.

How to choose your half marathon pace
The half marathon is run at roughly 84–88% of your vVO2max. Start from a recent 10K: the race time predictor gives a realistic time over 21.0975 km. If the result is not what you hoped for, change your training, not your starting pace: the half marathon plan practices goal pace at the end of the long run.
The splits to watch
Do not try to make up lost time: being 10 seconds off at the 10th kilometer is nothing to worry about. The useful checkpoints are the 5th, 10th and 15th kilometers; the chart above gives them for every goal.
Aid stations and pace
Walk a few steps through the aid stations if you need to: you lose 3 to 5 seconds per station, far less than hitting the wall. Adjust your goal by a few seconds if your course has a lot of them.
